How sponsorship works
Sponsoring a child covers the real costs of their schooling, and lets you follow their progress safely.
What your sponsorship pays for
Depending on the child's needs: school fees, supplies, uniforms, meals, transport, health support and mentorship. You can sponsor a specific child, let us match you with the child who needs help most, or support a whole program or project.
$200 sends a child to primary school for the whole year, and $350 sends a child to secondary school for the whole year. Uniform, school fees and school supplies are all included.
What you receive
Approved report cards, photos, short videos and progress reports. Nothing is shared with you unless the family has agreed and our staff have approved it.
Writing to your sponsored child
You send your letters to Irembo Foundation, and our staff pass them on. Never write to a child directly by phone, email or social media. Our staff read every message before it is passed on, and replies are checked the same way. Phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, social-media accounts and plans to meet are not allowed in messages.
