Young people are leaders, not only beneficiaries.

Irembo Youth brings young adults together to discuss community needs and concerns, and trains them to mentor the younger children — helping with schoolwork and at the Saturday Nutrition Program.

Members take part in life-skills and vocational training and get help finding work. Many have gained experience running Irembo’s social enterprises, including the Mama Rwanda hostel and coffee shop.

Irembo Youth also looks beyond Rwanda’s borders: a global youth community where young people share ideas to make the world a better place, and a home for new enterprise in technology, business start-ups and community projects.
