Education sponsorship
Keep a child learning.
Financial hardship should not decide whether a child stays in the classroom.
The program began when our founder, Bertrand, encouraged his school friends to create and sell artwork to pay the school fees of vulnerable street children whose young parents could not afford them.
Irembo Foundation became a Rwandan NGO in 2015 and raised enough to send 42 children to school. Donors around the world then began to sponsor children, and by 2025 Irembo had helped approximately 126 children attend school.
A sponsorship can cover tuition, school supplies, uniforms, meals, transport, health support and mentorship — whatever stands between a child and the classroom.
